The fully automatic punching machine is a device used to control the punching process of bearing cages. It consists of two parts: the punching mold (connected to the punch press) and the electronic control system. The control system is composed of five parts: the microcomputer control section, the photoelectric input circuit, the electromagnet control circuit, the display circuit, and the stepper motor drive circuit.
The fully automatic punching machine system completes various functions under the control of a unified clock pulse. When the start switch is closed, the program energizes the air clamp electromagnet and outputs several pulses through the CPU. The drive circuit rotates the stepper motor at a certain angle as required, and then the motor locks itself, which is called the zero-seeking process, thus eliminating the mechanical transmission gap error. After zero-seeking, the actuating electromagnet is engaged, and the punch head falls immediately. When the punch head leaves its working position, the photoelectric head fixed on the punch press gives a signal indicating the punch head's displacement. At this time, the microcomputer rotates the stepper motor by a certain angle again and waits for the punch head to fall a second time. By repeating the above process, the continuous punching process of the required number of holes can be achieved. The display shows the instantaneous hole count at any time. After punching a hole, the number of workpieces is incremented by one, the hole count is reset to zero, and an audible alarm signal is given.

This achievement can achieve the punching process of bearing cage windows with 10 to 60 holes. It has the functions of continuous punching and single-shot punching, which can complete the punching process of one workpiece continuously or process a certain hole position on the workpiece individually. The punching frequency is 0 to 130 times per minute. If the number of holes exceeds 20, the frequency can reach 240 times per minute. It can work continuously for 24 hours. This achievement is a domestically developed device for high-precision machining of bearing cage windows using microcomputer-controlled automatic indexing. Its equal division accuracy is ≤±0.1 mm, reaching the level of similar international products.
